Currywurst und superscharfe Sahneschnitten – Eine Untersuchung zur Übersetzung deutscher Filme ins Spanische

Abstract

El artículo analiza las particularidades y desafíos de la traducción audiovisual (TAV), con un enfoque especial en la traducción cinematográfica. Partiendo de la complejidad semiótica de las películas como textos verboicónicos que combinan canales visuales y acústicos, se destaca la necesidad de una estrategia de traducción integradora que considere las interacciones entre imagen, sonido y lenguaje. A través de un análisis de la versión doblada al español de la película alemana Der bewegte Mann (El Hombre Deseado), se examinan tendencias y problemas de traducción a nivel macro y microestructural. El estudio revela que la estandarización lingüística, el manejo de dialectos y especificidades culturales, así como la sincronía fonética y cinética, constituyen desafíos centrales. Además, se abordan las estrategias de traducción para nombres propios, realidades culturales y elementos musicales. La investigación subraya que la traducción audiovisual presenta normas y restricciones específicas que la diferencian fundamentalmente de la traducción de textos escritos. Los resultados destacan la relevancia de un enfoque descriptivo para identificar normas de traducción en el par de lenguas alemán-español y abren perspectivas para investigaciones futuras. El objetivo es fomentar una mejor comprensión de las dinámicas y exigencias de la TAV y contribuir a su estudio científico.

The article examines the specific features and challenges of audiovisual translation (AVT), with a particular focus on film translation. Starting from the semiotic complexity of films as verbo-iconic texts that combine visual and acoustic channels, it emphasizes the need for an integrative translation strategy that addresses the interplay between image, sound, and language. Through an analysis of the Spanish dubbed version of the German film "Der bewegte Mann" (span. "El Hombre Deseado"), translation tendencies and issues at both macro- and microstructural levels are highlighted. The study reveals that linguistic standardization, the handling of dialects and cultural specifics, as well as phonetic and kinetic synchronization, are central challenges. Additionally, it explores translation strategies for proper names, cultural elements, and musical features. The research underscores that audiovisual translation has specific norms and constraints that fundamentally distinguish it from the translation of written texts. The findings emphasize the relevance of a descriptive approach to identify translation norms for the German-Spanish language pair and open avenues for further research. The aim is to foster a better understanding of the dynamics and demands of AVT and to contribute to its scholarly analysis.
