dc.description.abstractFaculty members of higher educational institutions are expected to perform multi- dimensional tasks (i.e teaching, research and extension), thus, favorable work environment and ensuring their well-being is fundamental to achieve high work performance. This descriptive-correlational study surveyed 74 full time faculty members in the in a Philippine private university system with six campuses. It used a validated and pilot-tested four- point Likert scale instrument which was converted into online questionnaire to facilitate distribution and retrieval. Ethics approval was granted in the conduct of the study. Statistical treatments used included weighted mean, Pearson r moment correlation and ranking. Results revealed that the respondents’ work environment is very conducive in terms of student interaction, mentoring support and administrative support. The respondents have a very healthy well-being in terms of mental health, work-life balance and job satisfaction and the level of work performance of the respondents is very high in terms of teaching effectiveness and community service. Test of relationships showed that the more conducive work environment is, the healthier the well-being of the respondents, and the higher the level of work performance of the respondents in terms of teaching effectiveness. Student interaction and resources are significant predictors of teaching effectiveness and community service, respectively. This means that the higher teacher-student interaction and the greater resources available results to a higher level teaching effectiveness and community service respectively. An action plan was proposed to sustain the work environment, well-being and work performance of the respondents.es_ES
