dc.description.abstract | This article presents an updated concept of professionally-oriented scientific and technical translation courses at Spanish universities. It intends to shape a coherent approach to the training of high-quality scientific and technical translators, by analyzing such aspects as research, the use of computer software, product evaluation, and professional translator attributes. Assuming that most in-classroom and out-of-classroom activities should simulate real translation assignments, the author puts forward a number of goals and methods, among which the acquisition of know-how competences is highlighted. | es_ES |
