Cómo formar intérpretes contando con los estudiantes

Abstract

La introducción de material audiovisual digitalizado procedente de grabaciones de situaciones comunicativas reales desde las fases tempranas de la formación especializada de intérpretes, facilitada por las nuevas tecnologías, es posible, pero no está exenta de riesgos. Para controlarlos el autor de este estudio propone un enfoque que complemente la valoración del nivel de dificultad que puede realizar el profesor combinando criterios cuantitativos objetivos y otros más aproximativos o subjetivos con la percepción de los estudiantes de tres parámetros fundamentales para mantener su motivación: la dificultad, la utilidad y el interés de distintos ejercicios individuales o tipos de ejercicios. Para llevarlo a la práctica se sugiere aplicar la metodología de la investigación en la acción incorporando análisis tanto cualitativos como cuantitativos.

How to train interpreters taking the students into account New technologies have made easier, but not risk-free, the use of digitised audiovisual material taken from recordings of real multilingual events right from the early stages of specialised interpreter training. In order to control the risks involved the author of this study suggests a two-fold approach: on the one hand, evaluation by the trainer of the level of difficulty applying both objective or quantifiable and subjective or approximative criteria; on the other hand, students perception of parameters which are vital for their motivation, such as the difficulty, usefulness and personal interest raised by a variety of individual exercises and types of exercises. Implementation of this proposal is based on action research methodology, integrating both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
