Résumé
The article is devoted to substantiation, implementation and verification of the effectiveness of the
methodology of formation of professional and communicative competence of future coaches in
Olympic and professional sports who study at the higher educational institution at the Faculty of
Physical Education and Sports. The research, which was conducted in 2019-2021, involved 106 students
of Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University. Professional and communicative competence in the students
of the experimental group (EG, n = 54) was formed on the basis of the author’s methodology in the
educative process; the students of the control group (CG, n = 52) studied according to the existing
university curriculum. According to the results of the pedagogical experiment, it was found that the
increase in the number of students with a high level of professional and communicative competence
formedness in the EG is 7.4%, in the CG is 1.9 %; with a sufficient level – in the EG – 9.3 %, in the CG –
3.8 %. At the same time, the number of students with a low level of professional and communicative
competence decreased by 20.4 % in the process of pedagogical experiment in the EG, and by 7.7 % in
the CG. The analysis showed the high efficiency of the author’s methodology of professional and
communicative competence forming in future coaches in Olympic and professional sports.
