Resumen
The present study aimed to explore the relationship between psychological adjustment and learning
motivation among first-year secondary school students. To achieve this objective, the descriptive research
method was adopted as the most suitable approach. The study sample consisted of 120 students (male and
female) selected purposively. Data were collected using the Psychological Adjustment Scale developed by
Mahmoud Atiya (1986) and the Learning Motivation Scale developed by Youssef Qatami (1989). After testing
the hypotheses, the findings revealed that the levels of both psychological adjustment and learning motivation
among the students were high. However, there was no statistically significant correlation between
psychological adjustment and learning motivation. Additionally, no statistically significant differences were
found in the levels of psychological adjustment and learning motivation based on gender.
