El heterolingüismo literario en autores francófonos de origen español: bilingüismo literario y diglosia en Semprún, Blasquez, Del Castillo y Salvayre

Abstract

En el presente artículo analizamos, desde la noción de “heterolingüismo literario” (Grutman 1997), el contacto de lenguas francés-español en la obra narrativa de autores bilingües de origen español. En primer lugar, se aborda la obra de autores que acompañaron a sus familias al exilio cuando eran niños o adolescentes y adoptaron el francés como lengua de escritura: Michel del Castillo, Adélaïde Blasquez y Jorge Semprun. En segundo lugar, se analiza la novela Pas pleurer de Lydie Salvayre, autora bilingüe de origen español nacida en Francia. Desde el análisis comparativo se abordan las formas de vehicular narrativamente la doble pertenencia lingüística y cultural de dichos autores; los primeros alineados en formas más individuales de gestión del bilingüismo a través de la tematización de la lengua —“bilingüismo literario”— y la segunda a través de la reivindicación de la memoria histórica y de la manifestación de las tensiones del contexto en el que coexisten las dos lenguas —“diglosia literaria”— (Grutman, 2003).

In this article we examine the contact between French and Spanish languages in the narrative work of bilingual authors of Hispanic origin within the framework of “literary heterolinguism” (Grutman 1997). Firstly, we focus on the work of authors who accompanied their families into exile as children or adolescents and adopted French as the language of writing: Michel del Castillo, Adélaïde Blasquez and Jorge Semprun. Secondly, we explore the novel Pas pleurer by Lydie Salvayre, a bilingual author of Spanish origin born in France. The comparative analysis deals with the forms of narrative vehicle of the double linguistic and cultural belonging of these authors; the first aligned to individual forms of management of bilingualism through the thematization of language —“literary bilingualism”—, and the second through the vindication of historical memory and the manifestation of the tensions of the context in which the two languages coexist —“literary diglossia”— (Grutman 2003).
