“Arraigo”. Historias cotidianas expandidas a través del cómic experimental

Abstract

RESUMEN: Las grandes historias existen desde siempre, pero también todo lo que sucede entre ellas, y a mi juicio todos esos entreactos esconden una narrativa más interesante que cualquier gran cuento que gire en torno a ellas. El día a día siempre ha sido fuente de inspiración para artistas a lo largo de la historia del arte. Miles de cuadros, esculturas, dibujos, bocetos incluso, han ido abriéndose paso hasta ser una parte imprescindible de la historia. Siempre me he sentido mucho más ligada a estas obras que a aquellas que cuentan hechos mucho más simbólicos. Desde siempre he sentido una gran fascinación por las pequeñas anécdotas que nadie acaba por recordar, por los detalles y por lo que me rodea y también por el hecho de que cada acto que he llevado a cabo a lo largo de mi vida me ha conducido a este preciso momento. En esta Memoria se recogen los pasos que he ido siguiendo a lo largo de la creación de este proyecto artístico titulado Arraigo, en el cual recojo y narro diversos pequeños y grandes momentos de mi vida en una conversación íntima con el lector. A lo largo de las seis piezas que componen la obra final, invito al receptor de esta pequeña charla que es el proyecto, a que me acompañe a lo largo de diferentes formatos.

ABSTRACT: The greatests stories of all time have always been a part of the human race, but everything that has happened in between them had always been a thing, too, and I’ve always thought all of these little stories have always had a hidden narrative so much more interesting than any of those big stories we’ve mentioned before. Everyday life has always been a source of inspiration for hundreds of artists along the history of art. Thousands of paintings, sculptures, drawings, even doodles about this topic have been making their own way until they’ve become a part of History themselves. I’ve always felt more linked to these works than those who show much more symbolic History moments. I’ve always been fascinated by little tales that no one ends up remembering, to little details, and for everything that surrounds me in the most mundane way. Another thing over which I obsess a little is the fact that every little thing I’ve done in my life has ended leading me to this exact place. In this report I take a walk through everything I’ve had to do while I’ve been working on this artistic project that's called “Rooting” (Arraigo), in which I tell many silly and not-that-silly memories in an intimate chat with the spectator. With the six pieces that comprise the final work, I invite the audience of this chit-chat that it’s this project to accompany me along different formats.
