"Abstract"
"The production of the German-Swiss artist Meret Oppenheim
questions the pictorial and literary tradition with sharp irony. Her dreamlike imaginary is revealed in poems that are prolonged in images, paintings translated into poems and everyday objects that, freed from their function, escape from routine and are transformed into a disturbing artistic reality. The disturbing and subtle perversity of Le déjeuner en fourrure, a set of cup, plate and spoon covered in leather, became an emblematic piece of surrealism, although not the author's name, perhaps because she was a woman?"
