Abstract

Construcción del territorio desde lo simbólico. Reinterpretación y resignificación del paisaje a partir de la fotografía y el dibujo, es un proyecto que se enmarca en la serie Land[e]scape, desarrollada entre los años 2020 y 2023, aunque las indagaciones formales y conceptuales que la sustentan datan de años anteriores. Land[e]scape es una investigación e indagación permanente sobre el paisaje como género de las artes visuales, un análisis que opera desde herramientas y soportes del Arte para reconformar continuamente la visión del paisaje desde nociones que responden a realidades muy concretas y contextuales. La movilidad geográfica y, por ende, cultural, constituye una estrategia fundamental que nutre la serie, enriqueciéndola con nuevas propuestas y producciones. Este proyecto de creación - investigación se formula partiendo de dos resortes fundamentales: la experiencia de vida y el papel del sujeto creador como observador permanente de una realidad que intenta comprender y modelar desde la propia creación. La memoria está presente en diferentes dimensiones, ya que se combinan imágenes que tienen una función documental al tiempo que surgen otras, más relacionadas con la función iconográfica dentro de la representación. Estás últimas tienen un carácter más lúdico, en tanto resultan de la combinación y experimentación con la fotografía y el dibujo. Desde el punto de vista artístico, me interesa continuar desarrollando un tipo de neo-paisaje a partir del cual poder crear realidades absurdas pero creíbles al mismo tiempo. En este caso el absurdo iconográfico responde a la representación de formas imaginadas que guardan relación con objetos extraídos de otros paisajes, de contextos diferentes y que son reinsertados para generar un nuevo diálogo. Las formas agregadas a partir del dibujo presentan un sesgo de contemporaneidad que simulan o sugieren elementos arquitectónicos a modo de mega estructuras, un palimpsesto que deja ver la huella del tiempo y la reescritura a base de elementos visuales que pertenecen a la memoria de otros lugares o provienen de la imaginación.

ABSTRACT: Construction of the territory from the symbolic. Reinterpretation and redefinition of the landscape from photography and drawing, is a project that is part of the Land[e]scape series, developed between 2020 and 2023, although the formal and conceptual inquiries that support it date from previous years. Land[e]scape is a permanent investigation and inquiry into the landscape as a genre of visual arts, an analysis that operates from Art tools and supports to continually reshape the vision of landscape from notions that respond to very specific and contextual realities. Geographical and, therefore, cultural mobility constitutes a fundamental strategy that nourishes the series, enriching it with new proposals and productions. This creation-research project is formulated based on two fundamental springs: life experience and the role of the creative subject as a permanent observer of a reality that he tries to understand and model from the very creation. Memory is present in different dimensions, since images that have a documentary function are combined while others arise, more related to the iconographic function within the representation. The latter have a more playful character, as they result from the combination and experimentation of photography and drawing. From an artistic point of view, I am interested in continuing to develop a type of neo-landscape from which to create absurd but credible realities at the same time. In this case, the iconographic absurdity responds to the representation of imagined shapes that are related to objects extracted from other landscapes, from different contexts and that are reinserted to generate a new dialogue. The forms added from the drawing present a contemporary bias that simulate or suggest architectural elements as mega structures, a palimpsest that reveals the trace of time and the rewriting based on visual elements that belong to the memory of other places or they come from the imagination.
