| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación analiza las particularidades del trabajo Au Pair en Reino Unido durante el periodo entre cuarentenas (marzo de 2020 y enero de 2021). Las miradas empleadas son: mi propia autobiografía como Au Pair, entrevistas a personas que decidieron realizar esta actividad y a una activista de la Red de Solidaridad de Niñeras de Londres, y las narrativas sobre esta ocupación por parte del gobierno británico y dos agencias online de colocación de Au Pairs. La base teórica de partida es feminista y se combina con la ética feminista, la interseccionalidad, la reflexividad feminista y el análisis crítico feminista del discurso. A través del estudio de las fuentes de información mencionadas, con un peso fundamental en las nueve entrevistas a las personas Au Pairs y a una activista, este escrito persigue profundizar en las construcciones ligadas al trabajo de cuidados en el trabajo Au Pair y sus impactos sobre las trabajadoras. También se busca entender los motivos de estas personas para elegir la actividad de Au Pair, estando atravesada por muchas de las problemáticas propias de los trabajos de cuidados: precariedad, invisibilización, falta de reconocimiento y valor social, todo ello sumado a las desigualdades de género, migrante y de clase social. Por último, esta investigación pretende aportar un pequeño grano de arena a una necesaria transformación social que valore los trabajos de cuidados y el de las Au Pairs, entre ellos. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This research analyses the particularities of Au Pair work in the United Kingdom between lockdowns (March 2020 and January 2021). The perspectives used are my own autobiography as an Au Pair, interviews with people who decided to carry out this activity and an activist in the Nanny Solidarity Network of London, and the narratives about this occupation by the British government and two online Au Pair placement agencies. The starting theoretical base is feminist and is combined with feminist ethics, intersectionality, feminist reflexivity and feminist critical discourse analysis. Through the study of the sources of information mentioned above, with an actual weight in the nine interviews with Au Pairs and the activist, this paper seeks to delve into the constructions linked to care work in Au Pair work and its impacts on female workers. It also pursues understanding the reasons for these people to choose becoming Au Pairs, being intersected by many of the problems of care work: precariousness, invisibility, lack of recognition and social value, added to gender, migrant and social class inequalities. Finally, this research is intended to make a humble contribution to a necessary social transformation that values care work and Au Pair work. | es_ES |
