Autotraducción y creación literaria en Bosoȹɛ̌/Bola de fuego/Boule de feu de Yaω Ngԑtǎ

Abstract

Proponemos un análisis del libro trilingԑtǎüe Boso /Bola de ȹɛ̌/Bola de fuego/Boule de feu del marfileño Yaω Ngԑtǎԑtǎtǎ a la luz del debate sobre si la autotraducción es realmente traducción u otra creación en autores bilingԑtǎües. Tras presentar al escritor y su obra, diferentes autores sirven de referencia para demostrar primero cómo de una postura inicial de margԑtǎinación, la autotraducción gԑtǎoza desde 2000 de un mayor reconocimiento en los estudios de literatura y traductologԑtǎía. El sigԑtǎuiente paso consiste en ilustrar con fragԑtǎmentos de Bosoȹɛ̌/Bola de … el vaivén del escritor entre la creación y la traducción, actividades que acaban imponiéndose como las dos caras de una misma moneda. En suma, nos parece que más que una simple ostentación por parte de un escritor deseoso de hacer alarde de su bilingԑtǎüismo, la autotraducción participa de la sigԑtǎnificación gԑtǎlobal de la obra.

We propose an analysis of the trilingԑtǎual book Bosoȹɛ̌/Bola de /Bola de fuego/Boule de feu by the Ivorian Yaω Ngԑtǎԑtǎtǎ in the ligԑtǎht of the debate on whether self-translation is really translation or another creation in bilingԑtǎual authors. After introducingԑtǎ the writer and his work, different authors serve as references to first demonstrate how, from an initial position of margԑtǎinalization, self-translation enjoys since the 2000s gԑtǎreater recogԑtǎnition in the studies of literature and translatologԑtǎy. The next step is to illustrate with fragԑtǎments from Bosoȹɛ̌/Bola de … the writer’s back-and-forth between creation and translation, activities that end up beingԑtǎ imposed as two sides of the same coin. In short, it seems to us that more than a simple ostentation on the part of a writer eagԑtǎer to flaunt his bilingԑtǎualism, the self-translation participates in the overall sigԑtǎnificance of the work.
