Propuesta didáctica basada en la investigación dirigida: la importancia del agua subterránea en el caudal de los ríos

Abstract

Este trabajo muestra la metodología didáctica y actividades llevadas a cabo con estudiantes de secundaria para intentar superar la dificultad de entendimiento relativa a la descarga subterránea que alimenta el caudal de los ríos. Se sigue el modelo de enseñanza por investigación dirigida, según el cual el alumnado sigue los pasos del proceso investigador orientado por el docente. Se plantea la necesidad de realizar actividades prácticas, como medir el caudal de un río del entorno cercano al alumnado y cotejar los datos con las precipitaciones de su cuenca, para favorecer la evolución de los esquemas de conocimiento y así contrastar la importancia desempeñada por el agua subterránea en el ciclo del agua.

This paper looks at the teaching methodology and activities carried out with high school students to overcome the difficulty of understanding how groundwater discharge feeds into river flow. A model of guided research is followed, through which the student follows the steps of the research process with guidance from the teacher. The need for practical activities is examined, such as measuring river flow in an environment close to the students and comparing the data with its basin rainfall, with a view to developing their knowledge and highlighting the importance of groundwater in the water cycle.
