El uso de las TIC para la musealización de un bien patrimonial desaparecido. Reconstrucción del retablo mayor de la Iglesia Prioral de Sant Pere de Reus

Abstract

El presente trabajo explora la posibilidad de recuperar un bien patrimonial desaparecido a través de las nuevas tecnologías. En una primera parte se pone de relieve el peso que ha tenido la revolución tecnológica en el campo del patrimonio y en las instituciones mu-seísticas, tanto en el ámbito divulgativo como en la investigación. La siguiente parte la constituye un caso práctico, el del retablo mayor de la Iglesia de Sant Pere de Reus, si-tuada en la ciudad catalana con el mismo nombre. Como la gran mayoría de retablos de la Comunidad Autónoma, este retablo también fue quemado en el verano de 1936, al inicio de la Guerra Civil. Desde entonces, lo único que nos queda para recordarlo son algunas piezas escultóricas y pictóricas que se encuentran en la Iglesia y en el museo de la ciudad, algunos documentos escritos y una fotografía. Con estas fuentes he podido producir un modelo tridimensional del objeto con el programa Blender. Finalmente, y en la última parte del trabajo he decidido hacer la hipótesis y el planeamiento de una posible museografía para difundir y dar a conocer este elemento patrimonial.

This work explores the possibility of recovering a disappeared heritage asset through new technologies. The first part highlights the importance that the technological revolution has had in the field of heritage and in museum institutions, both in the field of divulgation and research. The next part is a practical case, that of the main altarpiece in the Church of Sant Pere de Reus, located in the Catalan city with the same name. Like most altar-pieces in the Autonomous Community, this one was also burned in the summer of 1936, at the beginning of the Civil War. Since then, the only thing that remains to remember it are some sculptural and pictorial pieces that are in the Church and in the city museum, some written documents, and a photograph. With these sources I have been able to pro-duce a three-dimensional model of the object with the Blender program. Finally, and in the last part of the work, I have decided to hypothesize and plan a possible museography for this heritage element to divulgate and publicize this heritage element.
