Escala de actitudes hacia la estadística descriptiva y su enseñanza para profesores de matemáticas

Abstract

Las actitudes hacia la estadística es un tema de interés para investigadores y educadores, y de especial atención cuando se investiga en aquellos que serán los encargados de transferir dicho conocimiento. Este trabajo, examina la validez y estructura de la Escala de Actitudes hacia el Contenido de Estadística Descriptiva y su Enseñanza (EAEDE), con dos muestras: una muestra piloto formada por 126 futuros profesores de matemática chilenos y españoles, y otra con 269 futuros profesores de matemática chilenos. Siguiendo una metodología cuantitativa de tipo descriptiva-correlacional, analizamos la confiabilidad y validez de constructo de la EAEDE. Los resultados indican unas buenas características psicométricas de la escala y, un buen grado de ajuste al modelo teórico que la enmarca. Esta investigación puede ser la base para futuros análisis sobre actitudes del profesorado que requieran el uso de la escala.

Attitudes towards statistics is a topic of interest for researchers and educators, and of special attention when investigating those who will be in charge of transferring this knowledge. This paper examines the reliability and construct validity of the Scale of Attitudes towards the Content of Descriptive Statistics and its Teaching (EAEDE), with two samples: a pilot sample made up of 126 pre-service Chilean and Spanish mathematics teachers; and another with 269 pre-service Chilean mathematics teachers. Following a descriptive-correlational quantitative methodology, we analyze the reliability and construct validity of the EAEDE. The results indicate adequate psychometric characteristics of the scale and, a better fit for the theoretical distribution of the items. This research can be the basis for future analysis on teacher attitudes that require the use of the scale.
