Abstract

Resumen (en español) Retratando herbáceas y arbustivas angiospermas constituye el primer fascículo o tomo de Atlas visual ilustrado de la flora del Jardín Botánico de la Universidad de Granada, dada la inmensa cantidad de especies que alberga el recinto. A través de la ilustración cientíca, el resultado es una selección compuesta por especies herbáceas y arbustivas cuidadosamente analizadas y descritas. La investigación se concibe como una oportunidad presente y futura, de cooperar con parte del Patrimonio de la Universidad de Granada - el Jardín Botánico -, para ayudar al conocimiento, identificación y divulgación de los especímenes allí presentes, mientras se promueve la ilustración científica como herramienta didáctica. Esta parte del atlas está configurada por un total de 12 ilustraciones realizadas en acuarela, y 4 utilizando técnicas digitales. Todo ello se acompaña de apartados introductorios que adentran en el marco del trabajo, texto que describe cada una de las ilustraciones para una plena comprensión de lo ahí mostrado, y un glosario de tecnicismo para que el mayor número de público pueda acceder a la información de un modo sencillo.

Abstract (en inglés) Portraying herbaceous and shrubby angiosperms constitutes the first fascicle or volume of the Illustrated visual atlas of the flora of the Botanical Garden of the University of Granada, owed to the immense number of species that there are in the enclosure. Through scientific illustration, the result is a selection made up of herbaceous and shrub species carefully analyzed and described. The research is conceived as a present and future opportunity, to cooperate with part of the Heritage of the University of Granada - the Botanical Garden -, to help the knowledge, identification and dissemination of the specimens present there, while promoting scientific illustration as a tool didactic. This part of the atlas is made up of a total of 12 illustrations made in watercolor, and 4 using digital techniques. All this is accompanied by introductory sections that delve into the framework of the work, text that describes each of the illustrations for a full understanding of what is shown there, and a glossary of technicalities so that the largest number of public can access the information in a simple way.
