Flujo de trabajo para la digitalización 3D mediante fotogrametría de las tallas de madera policromada del Santísimo Cristo de la Sangre y su ángel

Abstract

También del ángel niño que recoge su sangre con un cáliz, permaneciendo aún desaparecidos tres de los cinco ángeles que originalmente le acompañaban. Este artículo pretende ser un ejemplo del potencial de la Fotogrametría para la digitalización 3D aplicada a la restauración y recuperación del patrimonio, así como para su salvaguarda. Se trata del primer proceso de esta metodología desarrollado en tallas de la Semana Santa en la Región de Murcia (España), y además de la ejecución técnica detallada de dicho proceso, el artículo se centra también en la validación del flujo de trabajo desarrollado, la verificación técnica de la calidad de los resultados obtenidos y en las futuras aplicaciones de los modelos 3D resultantes para su propietaria, la Archicofradía de la Preciosísima Sangre de Murcia.

This paper presents the case of the statue of Christ shedding his Sacred Blood, which is the head of one of the oldest brotherhoods in Spain whose history, artistic value and progressive structural degradation required urgent action. It also describes the study of the child angel who collects his blood with a chalice, while three of the five angels that originally accompanied him are still missing. This article aims to be an example of the potential of 3D digitalization for the restoration and recovery of heritage, as well as for its safeguarding. This is the first process of this methodology developed for the Easter Week sculptures in the Region of Murcia (Spain), and in addition to the detailed technical execution of the process, the article focuses on the validation of the workflow developed, the technical verification of the quality of the results obtained, and in the future applications of the resulting 3D models for the owner, the “Archicofradía de la Preciosísima Sangre” of Murcia.
