Muerte de la ciudad y desintegración de lo urbano. La casa como refugio

Abstract

Desde sus orígenes, el homo sapiens ha tenido la necesidad de protegerse de las inclemencias externas con el objetivo fundamental de dar forma al concepto de hogar, dando respuesta a su imperiosa necesidad de habitar en un continuo proceso de comunión con el medio, de creación del lugar, de construcción cultural. Sin embargo, con el desarrollo de los nuevos sistemas de movilidad y las vertiginosas transformaciones producidas por los cambios en las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación del último siglo, este abrá de incorporar en su existencia una nueva manera de experimentar la relación espacio-tiempo. En el espacio difuso de la ciudad global se establecerán nuevas directrices que, en un irrefrenable proceso degenerativo, parecieran encaminarse hacia la “deconstrucción de la cultura”, e incluso, superando esta situación, hacia una sociedad de la contracultura; donde la casa, ámbito físico donde el ser urbano aspira a reconocerse, se erigirá como su espacio de protección; su refugio.

From his origins, homo sapiens has had the need to protect itself from external inclemency with one objective: to give form to the concept of home, responding to his urgent need of inhabiting in communion with the environment, favoring his cultural construction. However, with the development of the new mobility systems and the vertiginous transformations produced by the changes in the information and communication technologies of the last century, a new way of experiencing the space-time relationship it incorporates into his existence. In the diffuse space of the global city, new guidelines will be established that, in an irrepressible degenerative process, seem to be heading towards the “deconstruction of culture”, and even, overcoming this situation, towards a society of counterculture; where the house, the space where the urban being aspires to be recognized, will represent his comfort area; his refuge.
