Abstract

Le patrimoine de la pierre sèche comprend autant la pratique et ses règles que les ouvrages concrets et significatifs du point de vue fonctionnel, paysager et identitaire. Les propriétés d’universalité et d’intemporalité sont aussi attribuées à ce patrimoine. Avérées pour son expression ordinaire et rurale, ces propriétés se déclinent en même temps en versions personnalisées et localisées qui soulignent les singularités des lieux, des groupes et des individus. Occasionnellement, la performance technique et l’esthétisme artistique marquent un essor ; présentement, ces tendances vont en s’accentuant. L’inscription des savoirs et savoir-faire de la pierre sèche à la liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité permet de reconnaître ses valeurs et d’assurer son exercice par les communautés et les particuliers au moyen d’échanges de bonnes pratiques. The analysis of the strategies, phases and results obtained and expected from this process makes explicit what is at stake for the future.
