The Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is, at present, one of the most prevalent
psychopathological diagnoses in childhood and adolescence worldwide. The symptoms of inattention
and/or hyperactivity-impulsiveness interfere with their social and/or academic functioning (American
Psychiatric Association, 2014) and, consequently, it is of utmost importance that teachers are to be trained
to attend the adolescents’ needs presented on a person with this disorder. Therefore, the aim of the present
study is to get to know the methods developed by the teachers of the Secondary School Rusadir in the
Autonomous City of Melilla, in order to give a proper educational response to the students with special
education needs, in particular, students with ADHD. To achieve this aim, the resource used was the “Questionnaire for the study of the organizational and curricular conditions in classrooms in order to
address the educational needs of the student body” (Estévez, 2015), which was provided in printed version.
The sample is composed by 70 subjects. The data collected has been quantitatively processed using the
software SPSS, specifically by the use of statistical descriptive analysis. With the obtained results, it can be
concluded that the teachers of the Secondary School Rusadir have resources as varieties of intervention
strategies which allow them to supply the needs carried in this disorder, bringing about an inclusive culture
which make teachers able to attend to all the school body.
