Pedro Páramo a través del cómic experimental

Abstract

Este proyecto consiste en la elaboración de un cómic experimental de grandes dimensiones (aproximadamente 150x70cm) sobre la novela de Juan Rulfo, Pedro Páramo, usando la narrativa gráfica frente a la textual, es decir, que no está presente el texto. Para poder desarrollar la historia sin palabras, se hará uso de los lenguajes típicos del cómic experimental como son la narrativa secuencial, escenarios fijos, abatimiento de planos, ausencia de viñetas y de páginas al utilizar la técnica del dibujo contenedor de imágenes. Este contenedor será un ataúd en cuya tapa irán representados todos los dibujos, siendo las maderas del mismo las que servirán como elemento para separar unas escenas de otras. La técnica será dibujo digital con iPad Pro, combinando los programas ProCreate y Adobe Photoshop. El estilo línea simple, combinando un pincel de pluma y sin color, únicamente con sombreado de rayado. El resultado final irá impreso a modo de libro en un desplegable, éste irá plegado y reforzado por dos tapas duras recubierta con dibujos en portada y contraportada. Además del proceso creativo, este proyecto presenta una investigación teórica sobre la obra del propio Juan Rulfo, sus distintas versiones e interpretaciones y otra investigación sobre los lenguajes del cómic desde su origen hasta el cómic experimental.

ABSTRACT: with this project I am presenting Juan Rulfo’s novel, “Pedro Paramo” in a large format experimental comic book, (approximately 150cm x 70cm). I have used the graphic narrative as an alternative to the written word so the story is to be interpreted by the viewer rather than read as the original novel is. To be able to develop the story without words experimental comic languages such as; sequential narrative, fixed scenarios, abbreviation of the story, reduction in pages when using the technique of drawing container images have been used. The container used for this project is a coffin whose lid all drawings have been positioned within with the separation of the timbers forming the borders which separate the drawings. This project was created using Adobe Photoshop and ProCreate on an IPad Pro, using monochrome simple line style drawing and hatching with the pen brush.The finished project will be printed and presented as a drop down folded book with hard front and back covers and illustrations on both. Tis project also presents a theoretical research on the work of Juan Rulfo himself, interpretations and other research on the languages of the comic from the origins to the experimental comic.
