“Vestigios”. El vídeo-collage como creador de nuevas realidades: La simbiosis entre elementos de diferente naturaleza para formar narrativas

Abstract

En este mundo infosaturado, en el que la inmediatez y la gratificación instantánea son las reinas, la imagen ha ido ganando terreno al texto por su rápido procesamiento, haciendo que la expresión “una imagen vale más que mil palabras” tenga más sentido que nunca. El trabajo que a continuación se presenta es la culminación de una investigación de carácter teórico-práctico, cuya temática es el vídeo-collage y su capacidad para crear realidades, donde se estudia en qué medida la recontextualización de imágenes es una herramienta eficaz para crear nuevas unidades de significado. En la parte teórica del trabajo se hace un recorrido a lo largo de la historia del arte, desde el nacimiento del collage hasta su culminación en el vídeo-collage, centrándonos en sus cualidades como técnica y en los conceptos de “unir para crear” y “fragmentar y componer”. Además de esta parte teórica, habrá una parte práctica que tendrá por finalidad realizar una obra audiovisual, con la técnica del vídeo-collage, que tratará el tema de los lugares abandonados.

ABSTRACT: In this world of information overload, in which immediacy and instant gratification are prevailing, image has been gaining ground to text for its rapid processing, giving the expression “a picture is worth a thousand words” more sense than never. The work that follows is the culmination of a theoretical-practical research, which theme is a video-collage and its ability to create realities, where we study to what extent the re-contextualization of images is an effective tool to create new units of meaning. In the theoretical part of the work is a journey through the history of art, from the birth of collage to its culmination in the video-collage, focusing on its qualities as a technique and the concepts of “unite to create” and “fragment and compose”. In addition to this theoretical part, there will be a practical part that will aim to make an audiovisual work, using the technique of video-collage, that will deal with the subject of abandoned places.
