La figura del gigante en la literatura infantil en la actualidad. Creación de un álbum ilustrado con una giganta como protagonista

Abstract

En este trabajo se realiza un estudio de la figura de un clásico de la literatura infantil y juvenil, el gigante; su evolución desde el estereotipo clásico hasta la actualidad y su adaptación a las estructuras socioculturales del momento donde aparecen valores relacionados con el multiculturalismo, la inclusión y la diversidad. Para ello, se realiza una prospección de álbumes ilustrados actuales donde el protagonista es el gigante y un análisis cualitativo atendiendo a su tipología y su significado. La parte práctica de este trabajo es el proceso de creación de un álbum ilustrado donde la protagonista es una giganta.

Abstract: This work is a study of the figure of a classic of children’s literature, the giant, and its evolution from the classical stereotype to the present, and the adaptation to the socio-cultural structures of the moment, where values appear related to multiculturalism, inclusion and diversity. To do so, an exploration of current picture books is done where the protagonist is the giant and is performed a qualitative analysis according to their typology.and meaning. The practical part of this work, is the process of creation of an illustrated album where the main character is a giant.
