La identidad en el arte negroafricano a través del vínculo con la realidad

Abstract

El artículo define tanto los conceptos como el funcionamiento de ciertos objetos negroafricanos, que desarrollan la identidad de algunas de las cultura negras a través de sus producciones artísticas. El vínculo del arte con la realidad propia (de producción o de adopción) es el que permite identificar los términos de la identidad, así como ir redefiniendo la misma, en la medida de las necesidades de modificación o alteración, geográficas o históricas. El artículo está dividido en tres partes que hacen referencia a: la representación del cuerpo como espacio prioritario del arte negroafricano, la máscara como elemento que define una nueva identidad para el portador y, por último, diferentes objetos que determinan identidades personales y sociales.

This article defines the concepts as well as the functioning of certain Black African objects which develop the identity of some Black cultures through their artistic productions. The link between art and reality (in production or adoption) is what enables us to identify the terms of identity, as well as to re-define it, to the extent of the needs of geographical or historical modification or alteration. This article is divided into three parts which refer to the representation of the human body as a priority space in Black African art, to the mask which bestows a new identity on the wearer and finally, to different objects which determine personal and social identities.
