Razón de amor, Largo lamento) se presenta con nombre propio en el conjunto de cartas enviadas por el poeta a Katherine Whitmore. A través del análisis de este fascinante epistolario podremos establecer una estrecha relación entre el mundo real y el mundo poético saliniano. Su contenido nos revelará un doble aspecto documental y literario y nos acercará a uno de los mejores poemarios de temática amorosa del siglo XX.
