La competencia ortoépica en el MCER: crítica a su aplicación en la enseñanza de segundas lenguas

Abstract

En este trabajo pretendemos demostrar que en el contexto de enseñanza de segundas lenguas, no tiene demasiado sentido defender que la competencia ortoépica esté al mismo nivel que la fonológica o la gramatical: éstas últimas son inherentes a toda lengua; aquélla es un producto cultural artificial, creado por motivos sociales, prescindible para la comunicación.

This paper aims to show that the orthoepic competence can not be at all at the same level as the phonological or grammatical ones in the second languages teaching context. The main ground is to be found in the idea that phonological or grammatical competences are inherent to each language itself, whereas the orthoepic one is only a cultural concept, which has been created due to social reasons and happens to be completely unnecessary for communication.
