El paisaje de la vega de Granada entre los siglos XIII-XVI: el valle del río Beiro

Abstract

Este trabajo supone el punto de partida de una investigación que pretende abarcar toda la Vega de Granada entre finales de la Edad Media e inicios de la Moderna. El centro de atención es el área periurbana de Granada, en concreto la zona situada al norte de la ciudad. Se hace especial hincapié en la red hidráulica y el poblamiento con el fin establecer las transformaciones que avienen en el paisaje en una época tan compleja como interesante.

This work represents the starting point of an investigation that aims to cover all Granada plain from the late Middle Ages to the Early Modern period. The focus is the peri-urban area of Granada, in particular the area north of the city. Special emphasis is placed on the water system and the settlements in order to understand and explain the changes that take place in the landscapes at a complex and interesting time.
