El buen salvaje de Rousseau. Inflexión de la antropología y de la estética

Abstract

La Ilustración formuló una idea de la naturaleza humana que fue enriquecida por Rousseau con la mirada abierta a todas las diferencias entre los humanos. Desde ahí postulaba una relación de algún modo estética con los demás, por la vía del sentimiento y la piedad. Este giro queda simbolizado en la figura del "buen salvaje". Ahí se encuentra el nacimiento de la teoría antropológica.

The Enlightenment formulated an idea of human nature that was enriched by Rousseau, with a perspective open to all human differences. From these ideas he postulated a relationship somehow aesthetic with the other ideas of the Enlightenment, through feeling and compassion. This relatioship is symbolized by the figure of the “noble savage”. Here we find the birth of Anthropological Theory.
