Experiencias gráficas de Chantal Montellier y Ana Penyas para la concienciación medioambiental. La autobiografía subterránea

Abstract

Nuestro estudio pretende dilucidar qué recursos iconotextuales se evidencian particularmente significativos en la transmisión del relato eco-crítico. Las novelas gráficas Tchernobyl mon amour (Chantal Montellier, 2006) y Todo bajo el sol (Ana Penyas, 2021) abordan lo medioambiental desde temáticas y contextos de producción diferentes y, sin embargo, comparten sugerentes mecanismos narrativos. Tanto la técnica del collage, en la que se plantea una particular interacción entre dibujo y fotografía, como la «autobiografía subterránea», situada entre lo novelístico y lo experiencial, se muestran determinantes en la densidad y alcance al fenómeno socio-medioambiental propuesto.

Our study aims to identify the most significant iconotextual resources in eco-critical narrative. The graphic novels Tchernobyl mon amour (Chantal Montellier, 2006) and Todo bajo el sol (Ana Penyas, 2021) approach environmental issues from different themes and production contexts and, nevertheless, share suggestive narrative mechanisms. Both the collage technique, in which there is a particular interaction betweendrawing and photography, and the “underground autobiography”, situated between the novelistic and the experiential, are decisive in the density and scope of the proposed socio-environmental phenomenon.
