This chapter examines the fragmented yet evolving landscape of terminology planning for the Spanish language in Spain. Despite the lack of a centralized body, collaborative efforts among different institutions have contributed to the creation of valuable terminological resources. Key initiatives, including Terminesp and its AI-driven successor TeresIA, aim to harmonize and centralize Spanish terminology while aligning with global standards. However, challenges persist, such as underfunding, fragmented efforts, and reliance on foreign borrowings. This chapter highlights recent advancements, emphasizing the need for sustained collaboration, policy development, and technological innovation to ensure consistent and effective terminology planning.es_ES
