Barbar(IA) o ¿qué sabe la Inteligencia Artificial sobre la Guerra? (A/r/tography Films)

Abstract

‘Barbar(IA) o ¿qué sabe la Inteligencia Artificial sobre la Guerra?’ es un ensayo audiovisual, inscrito en el ámbito de los A/R/Tography Films [películas a/r/tográficas] (García-Roldán, 2020), que pone a prueba la capacidad evocativa de las imágenes creadas por la Inteligencia Artificial. Para su realización seleccioné setenta fotografías de referencia, que ilustran diferentes conflictos bélicos ocurridos a lo largo del siglo XX. Muchas de estas imágenes se han convertido en iconos de la fotografía contemporánea y aún hoy suponen para el espectador una perturbadora imagen de la barbarie.

Barbar(IA) or What does Artificial Inteligence know about War?’ is an audiovisual essay, inscribed in the field of A/R/Tography Films (García-Roldán, 2020), which tests the evocative capacity of the images created by Artificial Intelligence. For its production, I selected seventy reference photographs, which illustrate different war conflicts that took place throughout the 20th century. Many of these images have become icons of contemporary photography and still provide the viewer with a disturbing image of barbarism.
