El álbum ilustrado infantil como génesis del cortometraje de animación. Creación de un álbum ilustrado de carácter inclusivo y su adaptación a la animación

Abstract

La presente memoria recoge el proceso de investigación y creación de un álbum ilustrado infantil de carácter inclusivo y de su adaptación a un cortometraje de animación 2D. La obra se titula "Perla", y cuenta la historia de una mariposa que no tiene colores en las alas, pero que desea obtenerlos más que nada. Mira con cierta pena, incluso envidia, a sus amigos-insecto por lo coloridos que son. Un día ocurre algo inesperado: desaparecen todos los dibujos que estos han hecho. Es entonces cuando Perla tiene la oportunidad de demostrar su valentía y astucia al tratar de recuperarlos. Después de conseguirlo, sus compañeros se lo agradecen cumpliendo su mayor deseo. La trama trata valores como la autocompasión y la autoaceptación, la generosidad, la capacidad de sacrificio o la inclusión de lo diferente, aparte de centrarse en algo tan importante como son los celos en la infancia. Con la adaptación al medio audiovisual se ha pretendido respetar al máximo la esencia de la historia, así como su factura plástica; adecuando únicamente aspectos que afectan al formato, a fin de conciliar la imagen estática con la imagen en movimiento de la mejor manera posible. En base a estos materiales, también se ha llevado a cabo un taller con alumnos de educación infantil, de tres a cinco años.

This thesis describes the research and creation process of an inclusive children's picture book and its adaptation into a 2D animated short film. The art work is called "Perla", and it tells the story of a butterfly that has no colours on her wings, but wants them more than anything else. She watches her insect friends with sorrow and even envy because of how colourful they are. One day, something unexpected happens: all the drawings they have made disappear. It is then that Perla has the chance to show her courage and cunning by trying to get them back. After she succeeds, her friends thank her by fulfilling her greatest wish. The plot deals with values such as self-compassion and self-acceptance, generosity, sacrifice, and inclusion, as well as focusing on something as important as jealousy during childhood. With the audiovisual adaptation, the aim has been to respect the essence of the story as much as possible, as well as its artistic workmanship; only adapting aspects that affect its format, in order to match the static image with the moving image the best way possible. Base don these pieces, a workshop was carried out with preschool children aged three through five.
