Comunidad y conectividad. Nuevos datos sobre la presencia genovesa en Málaga en el largo decenio mudéjar (1487-1501)

Abstract

This essay studies the Genoese presence in Malaga in the period immediately after the Christian conquest (1487-1501) using Iberian and Italian sources hitherto unknown and applying the prosopographic method to offer a new approach to a well-known subject. Thus, we get a new insight into the features of the Genoese community, two particular biographies are reconstructed, and the reprisal of navigation after the war is analysed, including new maritime strategies and connections.
