Un ethos politique féminin ? Le discours de l’extrême droite en Espagne ou la porosité des frontières discursives

Abstract

For a long time, femininity was considered a weakness. However, it has now reversed its stigma and become a positive value in political discourse, often associated with empathy, affectivity, and non-aggressive behavior. Despite this trend, the women of Spain's emerging right-wing party, VOX, contradict it by adopting an extremely polarized anti-feminist discourse. This paper analyzes the topics and rhetorical strategies used in a four-hour corpus of public speeches by VOX women, revealing how porous the "male-female" dichotomy can be in political discourse.
