Abstract
During the early modern age, the earthquakes become a topic of interest for the Habs-burg administration, because the dynasty rule areas with high seismic hazards. The article focuses on the collection and transmission of the news about the earthquakes with a global viewpoint thanks to the structure of the Hispanic Monarchy. In addition to the introduction and conclusions, the essay is formed of three paragraphs. The first part examines the communication system within Hispanic administration; the second presents the formal features of the disaster writings. Finally, the last section shows the leitmotifs in the documentation on the earthquakes .
