Modificación de la metodología docente y aplicación de un examen parcial liberatorio para fomentar el aprendizaje autónomo y su influencia en la evaluación

Abstract

Para fomentar el aprendizaje autónomo y continuado de los alumnos se aplicaron cambios en la metodología de enseñanza y la evaluación de Fisiología Vegetal. La innovación docente consistió en la realización de seminarios y en el incremento de las actividades en el aula. En la evaluación además de los exámenes de prácticas y final de teoría se valoró la asistencia a clase con participación activa y se realizó un examen parcial liberatorio de teoría. Los resultados mostraron una correlación positiva entre la asistencia a clase con participación activa y la superación de los exámenes parcial y final. Además, el análisis del cuestionario de opinión realizado a los alumnos mostró que la mayoría consideran que las modificaciones docentes introducidas contribuyeron de manera satisfactoria a su aprendizaje.

To promote the autonomous and continuous learning of students changes were applied to the methodology of teaching and to the evaluation of Plant Physiology. The teaching innovation consisted in carrying out seminars and increasing activities in the classroom. For the global evaluation not only were the marks of final theory and practical exams considered, but also the attendance and active participation in lessons as well as a qualifying end-of-term exam. Results showed a positive correlation between attendance and active participation and passing the end-of-term and final exams. Moreover, the analysis of the questionnaire given to students showed that the majority considered that the educational modifications contributed in a satisfactory way to their learning.
