The model of development of future teachers’ information and communication competence proposed by authors is based on systematic and purposeful individual or teamwork with media content, online tools, programs, and digital apps (PowerPoint, Thinglink, Canva, Glogster, Genially, Mentimeter, Wordart, Padlet, Learning Apps, Wordwall, MindМeister, Flipgrid, Coggle (MindMap), Mindomo, Kahoot! and others). It concerns the search, analysis, assessment, and selection of information; involves the use of ready IT products as well as the creation of own, safe interaction in the information space. It has been tested during the 2021-2022 academic year (130 Ukrainian students). The effectiveness of the authors' model in the process of the result comparing diagnostics of the formation level of the 3rd year students’ information and communication competence at the beginning and after studying language and literature disciplines has been proved empirically.
