This will be a disclosure of his educational ideas and thoughts in America, his conception of the integral person and its implications for pre service teachers training, who will have the responsibility of advancing the social cause through education. The research work consists of six chapters divided into three parts:  First Part: An Overview  Second Part: Eugenio María de Hostos: An historical and educational overview  Third Part: Values and education today In this study, to achieve the objectives and get the answers to the questions previously raised, we have selected the axiological content analysis technique. On the research, two documents will be analized: Eugenio María de Hostos’s Moral Social and the Marco Conceptual of the School of Education at a private University in Puerto Rico. Through the study of Moral social (1888) an axiological content analysis was done to identify the hierarchy of values in the document and confirm if it responds to an axiological educational model. In the second part of the study, the Marco Conceptual of the School Education at a private University in Puerto Rico was analyzed. Our purpose was to inquiry if the values identified in the educational model proposed in Moral Social appear in the Marco Conceptual of that University.
