Teorías y modelos de Nola Pender y Patricia Benner: su conexión con la prevención del cáncer de piel

Abstract

La enfermería como ciencia tiene leyes, teorías y modelos propios, principios y objeto de estudio que están implícitos en el método científico de la profesión. Un aspecto relevante son las Teorías de Enfermería, pues están relacionadas con las distintas formas que adopta la enfermera en el cuidado. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar la influencia de las teorías y modelos de Nola Pender y Patricia Benner y su conexión con la prevención del cáncer de piel. El análisis realizado permitió elaborar una figura representativa donde se evidencia la influencia y la conexión entre estas teorías y la prevención del cáncer de piel, lo cual tiene un significativo papel en la formación del profesional de Enfermería, su relación con el entorno social y el modo de actuación del profesional de la salud que aspira nuestro modelo formativo en función de la sociedad.

Nursing as a science has its own laws, theories and models, principles and object of study that are implicit in the scientific method of the profession. A relevant aspect is Nursing Theories, since they are related to the different forms that the nurse adopts in care. The main objective of this research is to analyze the influence of the Nola Pender and Patricia Benner's theories and models and their connection with the skin cancer prevention. The analysis carried out allowed the elaboration of a representative figure where the influence and connection between these theories and the prevention of skin cancer is evident, which has a significant role in the Nursing professional's training, their relationship with the social environment and the way health professional' s action that our training model aspires to in terms of society.
