Resumen
In this chapter we analyze one of the most important stages of Granada, that of its foundation, development and consolidation in the 11th century. For them, after introducing the general taifa context and the Banu Ziri, political protagonists of the History, we undertake the study of the circumstances that led to the election of Granada as the capital, the political development of the taifa and its expansion.
