Abstract
En su intenso ensayo “El poeta y el tiempo”, la poeta rusa Marina Tsvietáieva escribía: “El tema de la Revolución es el encargo del tiempo. El tema de la exaltación de la Revolución es el encargo del partido”. (68) y también dirá: “no importa que aceptes la Revolución o que la rehúyas o que la rechaces –de cualquier modo ya está en ti – desde siempre (el elemento natural) y desde el año 1918 ruso, que, lo quieras o no- existió”. (67). El año 1959 es el equivalente en Cuba a ese 1918, o 1917, ruso: queramos o no -quieran o no los poetas cubanos,- existió. Y, probablemente, sea también cierta para los poetas de la isla otra de las afirmaciones que sobre los rusos hacía Tsvietáeiva: “No existe un solo gran poeta ruso contemporáneo cuya voz no haya vacilado y crecido después de la Revolución” (68). Se toman estas ideas de Marina Tsvietáieva como punto de partida para a proponer un breve recorrido por ciertos poemas cuyo tema, o motivación, es o ha sido la Revolución cubana, desde dos coordenadas o límites: por un lado, la exaltación, la loa revolucionaria; por el otro, el examen, el cuestionamiento, la crítica. Los poemas y textos analizados y comentados corresponden a autores como Lezama Lima, ELiseo Diego, Fernández Retamar, Nicolás Guillén, Nancy Morejón Cintio Vitier, Carilda Oliver, Heberto Padilla y Gustavo Pérez Firmat.
