Drogas de uso popular y supervivencia en las Farmacopeas españolas

Abstract

En el trabajo que presentamos hacemos un estudio retrospectivo sobre la utilización de drogas vegetales en la terapéutica popular, siguiendo su evolución y posterior permanencia en las Farmacopeas epañolas. Sorprende el número de recursos terapéuticos obtenidos de la Naturaleza que en las distintas regiones españolas se han usado y la sagacidad que revelan tales conocimientos. Las fuentes documentales consultadas nos dan noticia de lo acontencido en Asturias, Navarra, Galicia, Gran Canaria y otras informaciones engloban múltiples noticias de Castilla, Aragón y Andalucia fundamentalmente. Para cada dolencia tiene el pueblo su remedio, algunos de ellos inocuos pero otros no lo son tanto, sin embargo fueron una realidad que ha sido difícil ir recogiendo de diversos autores, de relatos dispersos de tradiciones, de anotaciones olvidadas de viejos médicos. Hoy estudiamos la panorámica de la terapéutica popular en Galicia, buscando la equivalencia del nombre vulgar por el nombre científico y siguiendo la trayectoria de su pervivencia o desaparición del panorama farmacológico español.

In the work which we present we make a retrospective study on the use of vegetable drugs in the popular therapeutics, following its evolution and Posterior p·ermanence in the Spanish Pharmacopoeias. We get surprised of the number of therapeutic resources, obtained from Nature and used in diverse Spanish regions, and the sagaclty which reveal such knowledge. The consulted documental sources are giving us notice on what ocurred In Asturias, Navarra, Galicia, Gran Canaria and other information englobe multiple notices on Castilla, Aragón and Andalucía, in particular. For each ailment people have a remedy, sorne of these remedies are innocuous and ather less. However, these remedies were real and it has been difficult to find out this reality from diverse authors of disperse narratives, from traditions and from forgotten notes by ancient physicians. To-day we study the panoramic of the popular therapeutics in Galicia, seeking the equivalence of the common name with the scientific one, and studyng its survival or disappearance from the Spanish pharmalogical panorama.
