Tiempo ambiental, tiempo social. Los debates de la antropología del tiempo situados en las sociedades agrícolas del Mediterráneo, a través de la obra literaria de Josep Pla

Abstract

Este artículo trata de la relación entre el tiempo ambiental y el tiempo social desde la perspectiva de la antropología del tiempo. El interés por esta temática parte de una teoría de Marcel Mauss que puede ser calificada como teoría fundacional de la antropología del tiempo por la fuerte influencia que ha ejercido sobre desarrollos posteriores. El objetivo del artículo es aportar a este debate algunas de las reflexiones antropológicas que contiene la obra literaria del escritor ampurdanés Josep Pla (1897-1981), abordando así un problema antropológico más general desde el prisma de la etnología del Mediterráneo.

This paper deals with the relationship between environmental time and social time from the point of view of the anthropology of time. The theory by Marcel Mauss, which can be qualified as the founding theory of time anthropology according to its strong influence on later developments, provides our theoretical framework. The aim of the paper is to contribute to this debate with some of the anthropological reflections contained in the literary work of a writer from Empordà, Josep Pla (1897-1981), thus approaching a more general anthropological problem through the prism of the ethnology of the Mediterranean.
