Mosheh ben Shemu’el ha-Kohen ibn Chiquitilla, el traductor

Abstract

Study of the first Hebrew translation of the grammatical work of Hayyuy, made by Moseh ben Semu'el ha-Kohen Ibn Chiquitilla of Cordova in the XI century. In the first part I present the Ibn Chiquitilla's literary work as an introduction. In the second one his method of translation is described as well as his analytical skills. At the end, I attach an edition of the oldest fragment (s. XII) known of the text and also I study its remarkable differences with respect to the later copies which are also the most widely spread.

Estudio sobre la primera traducción hebrea de la obra gramatical de Hayyuy, realizada por Moseh ben Semu'el ha-Kohen Ibn Chiquitilla de Córdoba en el siglo XI. En la primera parte se presenta a modo de introducción la obra literaria de Ibn Chiquitilla. En la segunda se describe el modo de la traducción y los recursos empleados por el traductor. Por último. se edita el fragmento más antiguo (s. XII) conocido del texto que presenta serias diferencias respecto a las copias posteriores y que son las más difundidas.
