Abstract

Con las paces hispano-turcas de finales del siglo XVIII se produce un acercamiento entre ambos imperios donde los sefardíes habrían podido figurar como intermediarios. A lo largo de la Cuestión de Oriente militares, diplomáticos y periodistas irán desvelando el origen de las comunidades otomanas y la sorpresa que supone este descubrimiento.
