Semiocapitalismo y esquizofrenia. Una lectura de la teoría del

Abstract

En aras de promover el “principio del placer” como nuevo imperativo social, la forma dominante del Capitalismo occidental trae consigo, gracias al desarrollo vertiginoso de los medios de reproducción, un paraíso artificial de tecnicicidad y virtualidad. Es la explosión de la infoesfera, una sobrecarga de estímulos informativos que delimita el campo de lo visible y lo invisible, privilegiando la imagen como leitmotiv de la era postalfabética. En este contexto, proponemos un marco conceptual para pensar la esquizofrenia donde las situaciones de “doble vínculo” (Bateson) desencadenan, en el universo cultural de la comunicación tecno-mediática, inquietantes fenómenos de ficcionalización que diluyen el límite entre lo literal y lo metafórico, en lo que constituye una mutación cognitiva de la humanidad sin precedentes históricos.

In order to foster the “pleasure principle” as a new social imperative, the dominant form of Western Capitalism brings with it, thanks to the fast-paced development of means of reproduction, an artificial paradise of technicality and virtuality. It’s the explosion of infosphere, an overload of informative stimuli that defines the fields of the visible and the invisible, giving priority to image as the leitmotif of the postliterate age. In this context, we propose a conceptual framework to think about schizophrenia, where the “double bind” situations (Bateson) trigger, in the cultural universe of techno-mediatic communication, disturbing fictionalization events that dilute the boundary between the literal and the metaphorical, which constitutes a cognitive mutation unprecedented in the history of mankind.
