la motivación e implicación del alumnado con su aprendizaje The article is derived from a broader investigation project about the compulsoy education
teacher's continuous training. It is focused on one aspect addressedin that project:theinfluence of
the continuous training in the teaching practice and in student's learning.
Theoretical framework: Researchers andexpertsagreedthat the influencein both aspects(teaching
practiceand students learning)is a very complex topic.Starting from theoretical approaches and
investigation proposals from different authors we have formulated a theoretical framework with
which we could talk about the impact of the training when the teachers concerned estimate it did
have some kind of influence in aspects such as: teaching planification, use of new methodologies,
classroom atmosphere, student's implication, attention to diversity and learning results.
Methodology: To explore the indications of the possible impacts of the received training, the
procedures of retrieving and analysis of the quantitative information have been combined -by the
use of an online questionnaire filled-in by Compulsory Education teachers - and qualitative -semistructured
interviews, focus group and classroom observations-.
Main results: The impact of the training tends to be more evident in the "Training in the work
place" than in the "Courses" form. There's an agreement onit is influenced by multiple factors ;
that the training around working methodologies in the classroom and the use of ICT is the one
generating a greater influence in the teaching practice and in the motivation and implication of
the students in their own learning.
