este estudio se ha diseñado y revisado la prueba de Evaluación de
Conflictos Interpersonales (ESCI) en una muestra de 1046 adolescentes, hombres y
mujeres, de distintas ciudades españolas entre 11 y 18 años.
Esta prueba evalúa la capacidad para resolver conflictos interpersonales a
través de tres áreas: el reconocimiento de emociones, la atribución de causas y la
generación de soluciones. Se compone de 17 escenas representadas en unas láminas
donde aparece un conflicto con una o más de una persona. En estas escenas el evaluado
responde cómo se siente el personaje, por qué se siente así, qué podría hacer para
solucionarlo.
Los resultados de este trabajo se exponen organizados en tres estudios. El
primer estudio revisa una aplicación piloto con una primera versión de la ESCI de 15
láminas, a una muestra de 491 adolescentes hombres y mujeres de Granada, entre 11 y
18 años. Fruto de los análisis de las frecuencias de los ítems, los índices de
discriminación, el análisis de fiabilidad y un análisis factorial exploratorio, se reajustan
las imágenes y se añaden dos láminas más para conformar la versión final de la ESCI.
El segundo estudio replica los análisis de frecuencias de los ítems, revisa los
nuevos índices de discriminación, realiza un análisis de fiabilidad, así como un análisis
factorial exploratorio y uno confirmatorio sobre la versión final de la ESCI. Como
resultado se concluye que es un instrumento que posee fiabilidad y validez de
constructo. En segundo lugar se revisa la validez de criterio mediante las correlaciones con entre las tres áreas de la ESCI y tres instrumentos que midan los mismos
constructos (el EK-60C para el área de emociones, dos subtests del WAIS-III para el
área de atribución de causas y el SPSI-R para el área de soluciones). Estos datos
arrojaron evidencia de esta validez de criterio de la ESCI. Como beneficio añadido, se
revisó previamente la adecuación del EK-60C a la población española para poder
utilizarlo en este estudio, además se generaron datos normativos españoles que no
existían hasta ahora.
El tercer estudio revisa el poder discriminante de la ESCI en una muestra de 26
adolescentes hombres y mujeres diagnosticados con Síndrome de Asperger. Los
resultados de éste muestran que la ESCI recoge estas diferencias en el desempeño, en
comparación con el grupo normativo.
En conclusión, estos estudios muestran que la ESCI es una herramienta útil,
válida y fiable para la evaluación de la habilidad de resolver conflictos interpersonales
en adolescentes españoles entre 11 y 18 años.
