Educación Media Básica y continuidad educativa en Uruguay. Un estudio de caso

Abstract

En este trabajo se describe las representaciones sociales de los actores involucrados en una propuesta de educación técnico-profesional, diseñada con la finalidad de propiciar la continuidad educativa de los jóvenes de una localidad rural de Uruguay. A través de las representaciones sociales construidas por los actores sociales, se busca saber si fue efectivo el proceso de revinculación de los jóvenes con el sistema educativo. Se realizó un estudio de caso, se empleó la entrevista semi-estructurada para la recolección de información y el Análisis de Contenido para su tratamiento. Los resultados muestran que los jóvenes se sienten parte de la propuesta, responden con interés a la misma y obtienen resultados educativos adecuados para el nivel cursado. Detrás del éxito de la experiencia educativa, se encuentra: una propuesta basada en la diversificación curricular, el trabajo didáctico de un fuerte equipo de profesores, y la presencia de redes sociales.

The following work describes the Social Representations from the involved actors in a vocational educational experience. The vocational educational experience aims to motivate the continuation of the education of young adults in a rural location in Uruguay. Through the Social Representations build by the social actors it is sought to know if the re-attachment process for the young adults to the educative system was effective. We used a case study, by using a semi structured interviews we gather the information and studied with Content Analysis. The results show that the young adults feel they are part of the process, they respond with interest and obtain satisfactory performance on their respective educational levels. Behind the success of this educational experience there is a diversification of the curriculum, didactic work from a strong group of teachers and the presence of social networks.
