Grasa de pescado de la dieta : composición lipídica del plasma y membranas de eritrocitos en enfermos coronarios

En la presente memoria se ha estudiado las repercusiones de la grasa de pescado de la dieta sobre el perfil lipídico del plasma y de las membranas de eritrocitos en pacientes coronarios. En nuestro diseño experimental hemos elegido un grupo control de sujetos sanos formado por 20 individuos y un grupo de enfermos con diagnostico de infarto de miocardio o angina de pecho formado por 30 sujetos. El grupo de enfermos fue sometido a un cambio lipídico con una ingesta diaria de pescado. A la vista de los resultados obtenidos, concluimos: 1.- la dieta enriquecida con pescado para pacientes coronarios produce una disminución en los niveles plasmaticos de ácido estearico y palmitico y en la membrana se observa un aumento de estos ácidos grasos. 2.- la grasa de pescado produce una disminución en los niveles plasmaticos de ácido araquidonico, aumentando sus derivados. 3.- la grasa de pescado da lugar a un incremento de los ácidos grasos que la componen. 4.- respecto al parámetro de colesterol total, la grasa de pescado no modifica sus niveles, disminuye el colesterol ldl y aumenta el colesterol hdl. Este efecto, junto con el anteriormente indicado, lo consideramos importante de cara al tratamiento de la cardiopatía isquemica
